Drummer • Educator • Founder of DrummerLab
Hi, I’m Francisco.
I’m a drummer, educator, and founder of DrumnationTV and DrummerLab.
Originally from Guatemala, I moved to Los Angeles in 2011 after receiving a scholarship to attend Musicians Institute. During my career I’ve performed with touring artists, recorded in professional studio environments, and built an online audience of more than 180,000 followers and subscribers through educational drum content.
Since 2017, I’ve focused primarily on teaching.
I’ve worked with beginners, developing students, aspiring musicians preparing for school bands and auditions, church drummers, and adults returning to the instrument after years away.
Through years of coaching students online, I noticed a common pattern: most drummers don't struggle because they lack information. They struggle because they lack structure, accountability, and a clear plan. That realization led me to create DrummerLab, a practice platform designed to connect lessons, assignments, practice tracking, and communication in one place so students can stay organized, stay motivated, and make the most of their practice time.
My teaching philosophy is simple:
Most drummers don’t need more information. They need a clear plan, consistent feedback, and accountability.
Every student receives personalized guidance based on their goals, experience level, and learning style.
Whether your goal is to play your first song, make your school’s jazz or marching band, improve your technique, or become a more confident musician, my job is to help you get there as efficiently as possible.
